After the tram parade, the public could visit all the trams that would not be running that afternoon. The 305 comes very rarely outside the museum and with the cooperation of the crew (for which thanks again!) it was still possible to take the best possible photo.

The vehicle is totally unrepresentative in the history of the Antwerp tram. Although it was preserved, it was made roadworthy again for each parade (2 in total) each time. It is and remains a unique opportunity to see this vehicle in action. The photo was taken on the way to the tram parade.

The public rides were a great success and also an excellent opportunity to photograph a number of museum trams at leisure and in optimal conditions.
This 5351 in particular remains special: it still has an old pantograph and it is its first ride in exactly 20 years.

For the poor driver, this was Murphy's law. The first tram broke down and the dispatching ordered that he should just continue with the second tram. Needless to say, the good man got all the indignities from the passengers: too small tram and long delay... while he could do nothing about it.
At the time of shooting, only coupled P.C.Cs are in operation (and just 1 one on a sunday, this one) and basically no solo trams are scheduled, with the exception of the former Ghent P.C.C.'s on route 12.

The first vehicle inde tramparade was a horse omnibus: this vehicle simply drove on the street and is the precursor of a bus. This vehicle is a replica and served as a tourist attraction in Antwerp at the turn of the century.

The tram parade was a great success, both for the enthusiasts and the general public. As always with such occasions, making good photos was not easy. Fortunately, there were other opportunities during the day to do this on a quieter way.

Here, it was also the most recently delivered vehicle: the tram had only been delivered just before, making it the very latest vehicle.

The first vehicle of the parade was set up for the general public and this while the last vehicle was still underway.
It is a unique snapshot: the 200 was and is Antwerp's very first electric tram, the 7434 was a week old and the most recent vehicle. 121 year of difference between both trams...

On 28 May 2023, celebrations took place to mark 150 years of trams in Antwerp. This attracted numerous visitors, especially in the afternoon. The regular tram line 7 could no longer handle the number of passengers, so trams ran with long delays and rides had to be shortened, as here. Later, the chaos would become complete when a regular tram broke down.
