Not Mihai Bravu Avenue, this is on Camil Ressu Avenue at Dristor. The camera is pointed towards Titan and the tram is heading on the Mihai Bravu Avenue (and further towards Zețari)

Well yes, because Google's most recent images are from 2019, when the line was still in operation. The line has been under repairs since 25 May 2021, and Google has went thru Romania this year, so i expect to be imagery updates.

Thanks for your comment. As I see from googlestreet view, the crossing still exists and tram tracks separated from the road with metallic fence. However, google may not reflect the actual situation.

From 25 May 2021 - lines 11 and 35 are suspended, line 44 is served by V3As of the Victoria depot, and Tatras that ran on those lines were transferred on lines 25 and 19.

Thats true, in 2007, the 25, which had been recently brought back to life (last time it ran in the 1980s from what i remember), had to be diverted via Ferentari because of the construction works at Eroii Revoluției (i remember they were trying to build a tram station for all trams that went on the common section in the middle of the square). Eventually they went back to normal by around November. Also during this time (and for a while), the 8 ran on a shorter route from Ghencea to Zețari (i dont know what kind of routes it did before that).

The front end is so messed up because early in 2020 it suffered a crash with 123 near Armenească, i think it was this vehicle that went on the path of line 16 and crashed into another tram of the 21.

I dare challenge mariusm2011's claim, because according to lengthy documentations done by Engineer Mihai Cristian Bucșan, at least as early as 1987, they began experimentally painting trams in the yellow livery, so it is plausible that this is one of those experimental liveries. The proof is in the Metrou Ușor forum's pages, where a photo taken by the said person shows tram number 001 in the yellow livery in 1987. The pigment of yellow differs a lot from the Ikarus-style yellow applied from 1991 onwards.

Additionally, if you look close enough, you will see on the front (between the windshield and the "mask) some sort of outline. Thats where the multiple coupling sockets are hidden; in order to run the V3As and V2As in multiple formations (2+2), they would put cables so that the electric and braking systems would synchronise with the tram in front.

(On that note, i suggest replacing the photo with the one from the Metrou Ușor forum's topic regarding coupled V3A tram formations, which is in a much better quality and resolution than the current pic from TramClub).

Correction: this used to be the tram stop at the Baba Novac terminus, where the 46 used to turn around on Dristor Street when it ran from IMGB to Baba Novac. The station was moved further northwards since.

This used to be a industrial train line that used to serve factories in Militari and along the current day Progresul Avenue (which was built in 1987 parallel to the rail line). The line is long closed and this crossing is going to be lifted since the tracks on Vasile Milea are closed for reparis.

Apparently if you are in a driving exam, you will fail if you dont stop at this train track, even though no trains have run here in many years.

This is in the Colentina housing estate, looking northwest towards the road exiting Bucharest and leading to Urziceni. This is the roundabout with the Doamna Ghica road and the blocks were built around the same year the photo is taken.

Locația corectă e pe Șoseaua Mihai Bravu la Pasajul Muncii. după stația de tramvai Mieilor. Pe fundal e Blocul D5 construit în 1962.
